Recreational hunters organize wild game evening at nursing home
On 4 October at 6:30 p.m., a wild game evening with the hunting horn players Hubertus St.Gallen will take place at the Gartenhof nursing home. IG Wild beim Wild criticizes the event and those responsible in no uncertain terms.
The Gartenhof living space was built as a spacious residential complex for senior citizens.
The facility is located directly on Lake Constance, in the village of Steinach. It offers assisted living, residential care, and dementia care.
Ecumenical devotions as well as Protestant and Catholic church services also take place regularly at Gartenhof.

The Gartenhof living space is advertising something that, upon closer analysis, does not correspond to common sense. Many people are not even aware that several authorities warn against wild game meat. Processed wild game meat is carcinogenic, like cigarettes, asbestos or arsenic, states, for example, the WHO.
Beware of sect dangers!
The word sect (from Latin secta ‘party’, ‘doctrine’, ‘school of thought’) is defined, among other things, as follows: A small community such as recreational hunters, often with a hierarchical structure, whose views tend to be highly radical and far-fetched and contradict the fundamental ethical values of society.
The latter is evident, for example, in the concept of fair chase among recreational hunters, which runs diametrically counter to animal protection laws in many countries, or in the depictions of prohibited violence against tormented wild animals in the media. The fundamental ethical values of our society also prohibit the tormenting or shooting of animals or the offering of such acts.
Recreational hunters manipulate, harass and terrorize.
A dark sect that nurtures and cultivates a cult of death. Practices bloody rituals in the forest and plays martial music. Terror cells that blight entire regions with shooting towers. Contaminates nature and animals with the heavy metals of ammunition. Speaks its own life-contemning language and tortures animals.
Game meat is carrion
Meat is a highly sensitive perishable for recreational hunters that actually requires continuous refrigeration. If this is not ensured, the meat very quickly becomes host to germs and putrefactive bacteria that are anything but beneficial to one's health.
Many people are not even aware of the condition that wild game meat is in.
As little as 8 minutes after the death of the wild animal, the blood in the veins begins to coagulate. In essence, you are already dealing with something known as carrion in less than 10 minutes.
Harvested game is fundamentally carrion and therefore not actually permissible for sale or consumption by ordinary people.
What do the authorities say about game meat?
Among game enthusiasts, such as hunters and their families, studies from Switzerland show that up to 90 portions of game meat are consumed per year in these households. The Federal Food Safety Office classifies the situation of hunters and families who eat game meat once or more per week as concerning.
While copper and zinc are essential for humans, lead is considered highly toxic. Authorities have therefore been recommending for years that children, pregnant women and women wishing to become pregnant refrain from consuming meat from game killed with lead ammunition.
Cases of Hepatitis E are increasing rapidly according to the University Hospital Bonn. One way of becoming infected is the consumption of raw or undercooked game meat. “Since this infection generally takes a harmless course, the health risk posed by the Hepatitis E virus (HEV) has so far been underestimated”, warns gastroenterologist Prof. Christian Strassburg from the University Hospital Bonn. In people with a severely weakened immune system, the liver inflammation can take a chronic course leading to cirrhosis. In pregnant women, there is a risk of acute, life-threatening liver failure. In both cases, a liver transplant is often the only remaining option.
Diseases
This means that wild game meat poses an increased risk of contracting toxoplasmosis, trichinellosis, sarcocystosis, cysticercosis, taeniosis, echinococcosis, or larval alariosis, warns the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment.
Wild game meat is also less shelf-stable than meat from slaughtered livestock. Several factors cause faster spoilage: insufficient bleeding out, delayed entry into the cold chain, and unfavorable hygienic conditions.
Raw or insufficiently cooked wild game meat can be contaminated with pathogens such as trichinella, salmonella, E. coli, hepatitis E viruses, etc. Therefore, special hygienic care is required when handling wild game meat such as venison or wild boar.
Meat is genetically and anatomically incompatible with humans
Just because humans are capable of eating or consuming anything does not mean they are a waste bin meant to take in everything. According to studies, the diet of Homo sapiens has always been primarily plant-based. Meat was processed for survival mainly only in times of scarcity. The proportion of meat in our ancestors' diet was around 5%. This is indicated by many anatomical and physiological characteristics found in modern humans.
This includes the human swallowing mechanism: animal carnivores can gulp down their food in large chunks, with digestion beginning only in the stomach. For herbivores, however, the rule is: they must chew thoroughly in order to digest their food. Human saliva contains an enzyme that enables the breakdown of starch already during chewing.
True carnivores consume their meat raw, whereas humans prefer cooked or fried meat. However, through heating, the natural digestion-promoting enzymes in the meat are destroyed. The pancreas must therefore produce more of its own enzymes, causing it to become gradually overburdened and weakened. From there, the onset of disease is not far off.
Recreational hunters lure animal-loving people under false pretenses and do not shy away from spreading their uncouth culture in care homes.
A care home should always offer high-quality healthcare and not foist carrion upon its residents.
For IG Wild beim Wild, animal protection is always human protection as well.
