Bigfoot mystery solved through statistical data analysis
A scientist solved the Bigfoot mystery through statistical data analysis. Sightings correlate with the distribution of black bears.
A scientist who examined and analysed statistical data has been able to solve the mystery of Bigfoot.
Bigfoot mystery solved!
Data scientist Floe Foxon found that in every region of the USA and Canada there is a significant statistical correlation between black bear populations and Bigfoot sightings. On average, there is one Bigfoot sighting for every 900 bears.
The BioRxRv-published study suggests that many alleged Bigfoot figures are mistakenly identified as familiar forms. Over the past 50 years, there have been more than 10,000 confirmed sightings.
Non-existence of Bigfoot
Despite all the excitement, there is no conclusive evidence for the actual existence of Bigfoot. Researchers examined 36 alleged “Bigfoot” hair samples and found that they belonged to raccoons, horses, cows, deer and coyotes, as shown in an article published in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B in 2014. More on the subject of recreational hunting: What the research says about this is shown by Hunting fact-checked: the state of research.
The position of IG Wild beim Wild: IG Wild beim Wild rejects recreational hunting. Our model is the canton of Geneva, which has managed without recreational hunting since 1974: without hunting seasons, without hunting dogs, without driven hunts, without high seats, without the animal cruelty and crime that go hand in hand with hunting season elsewhere. What has worked there for over fifty years disproves every position paper by JagdSchweiz. An association that bases its policy on claims it refutes in its own documents is not a professional organisation, but a factory for misinformation.
