Hunting

Absurdistan German Hunting Association (DJV)

Hobby hunters, the self-proclaimed predators, live out a culture of senseless violence.

Wild beim Wild editorial team — 17 June 2018

The shrinking brain mass of the German hunting association has once again produced an absurd video.

The moving images come across like crude sect propaganda à la Scientology, aimed at keeping their own members in line, and are hardly intended for the general public.

The video is clear proof of how little hobby hunters actually know about nature, humans and animals, let alone understand. The work gives deep insights into the bizarre mindset of the militant milieu of the hobby killers. At the same time, DJV president Hartwig Fischer begs for tolerance and a sense of reality in a press releasefrom the man who claims to have seen animal rights activists with banners in front of lions in Germany!

What Mr Hartwig Fischer likewise conceals in the press release about the ostracised hobby hunter is that the general public was outraged by the hobby hunter's motif. And because Mr Hartwig Fischer evidently has a black bar in front of his face, the IG Wild beim Wild would like to remind him of who probably commits the bulk of serious criminal offences: It is his members!

Since 2001, the Initiative for the Abolition of Hunting has been documenting the victims of hunting accidents and crimes committed with hunters' weapons. In 2017, too, reports of people shot dead by hobby hunters or who fell victim to hunting accidents shocked the public: in total there were at least 31 deaths in Germany.

Quote Hartwig Fischer: «We hunters live from and with nature; hunting is an original, gentle form of use.» Other groups with a similar clinical picture could, for example, equally claim: «We paedophiles live from and with the children; paedophilia is an original, gentle form of use.» That this is lawful for neither animal nor child has by now been grasped by common sense, for both children and mammals are sentient beings, in an evolution not understood by the hobby hunter. This has to do with the fact that brain anomalies are strikingly often detected in hobby hunters.

Violence leaves traces in the brain after a short time. Neuropsychologists confirm: the amygdala, a core region of the brain, is noticeably atrophied or impaired in violent individuals such as hobby hunters. If this central part of the brain (the emotion-sorting office) is defective, the feeling of disgust, among other things, is switched off. This can be observed beyond doubt time and again in everyday conversations and deeds involving hobby hunters.

At the point where violence is discharged, damage is caused just as it is at the point at which it is directed.

Relevant, militant hunting magazines are full of pictures of hunters holding a weapon and posing in a dominant position over their victims. Such magazines stimulate the fantasy of hobby hunters to want to hunt even more – in all manner of countries too. Hobby hunters need such photographs and films in order to feel important.

While in earlier times of need people hunted, even though humans according to their genetics are not meat-eaters, it would be better to admit to oneself that we no longer live in the Stone Age, rather than trying to fool the public with comic-book imagery.

The little brother of the German hunting association is the equally complex-ridden association «Jagd Schweiz», which preferentially posts German contributions on its Facebook page in order to feel «big» too.

Animal rights activists have a noble mission, that of peace for all living beings – hobby hunters, on the other hand, are troublemakers and warmongers, Carl Sonnthal of IG Wild beim Wild is convinced.

Rather, the dispute is also about unjustified exploitation. Humans can choose and have ethical and moral responsibility towards those in need of protection; predators such as a wolf, fox or lion, according to their nature as health policemen, do not have this. Non-violence distinguishes the cultivated human being from the predator in the animal kingdom. Most animals feed vegan and are peaceful.

The hobby hunter

Hobby hunters, the self-proclaimed predators, live a culture of senseless violence. The denial of reality by hobby hunters and their associations, alongside the hunter-serving lobby, is profoundly hostile to creatures, animals and life itself. It is also devoid of empathy, morality and any ethics. It is not merely the opinion of animal rights advocates that animals have a right to life, freedom and the pursuit of happiness. Every child knows this intuitively. Hobby hunters continually disturb, manipulate, abuse and so on the natural world, because they are unable to grasp nature properly, intellectually and spiritually. And yes, the conscious human being must act: ethically, non-violently and responsibly.

For decades hunters have been parking and breeding red deer in the forest. The forest is a rather atypical habitat for a grazing animal species. As soon as lynx, wolf and the like help to regulate populations, the exposed hobby hunters are the first to stir up opposition. Predators are waged war upon by hobby hunters (something that annoys not only the experts in the forestry service), to the point of poaching, and not by the animal rights movement. Apart from primitive striking out, hobby hunters, unlike the ordinary population, know no conflict resolution.

Hobby hunters always react reluctantly to initiatives of common sense. Animal and species protectionists brought about more wildlife protection in hunting practice. The abolition of leghold traps or the ban on bird hunting with limed twigs, and so on. Common sense was and is the driving force behind the restriction of hunting seasons and the reduction in the number of huntable species. To prevent the extinction of animal species, animal protectionists imposed on hobby hunters the moral obligation to care for and manage wildlife. The ethics of hobby hunters (if such a thing exists at all) traditionally always lag behind the spirit of the times.

At present, hunting revisions are taking place at federal and cantonal level. Once again, one can clearly see who is committed to, and who is against, animal and species protection — so that, for example, cruel hunting methods such as driven hunts, drive hunts or earth hunting are banned. The fact is that, when it comes to hunters' nonsense and the exploitation of the animal world, there would be no upper limit without animal rights advocates and animal protectionists. The ailing hobby hunters must be kept firmly on a tight leash, Carl Sonnthal of the IG concludes in admonition.

One must keep the ailing hobby hunters firmly on a leash, Carl Sonnthal of the IG warns in conclusion.
