What Do Hobby Hunters Actually Do in Winter?
Not every hobby hunter is a shooting fanatic — but every hobby hunter is a killer. No one has a mandate to kill. It is their choice to kill and their choice to “manage and nurture” what they later kill. Hunting is often referred to as a passion, but it is always based on a dubious disposition.
No Reasonable Justification for Small Game Hunting
As in January and December, the self-proclaimed predator also disturbs all wildlife in forests and fields in February, for example through the pathological hobby hunting of healthy foxes.
Under the Animal Protection Act (Art. 26 TSchG), a “reasonable justification” must exist for the killing of an animal. In the case of recreational hunting, however, it is mostly nothing more than the gratification of a bloody hobby. Hobby hunting fails as population control.
