European Initiatives
CoRAC has launched a European initiative composed of associations advocating for a general hunting ban. The goal is to demonstrate to the public that there is growing demand not only at the national level but also internationally. We seek to achieve our objectives through peaceful means by disseminating information, promoting science, journalism and reporting. All associations remain completely independent from each other, and over time the initiative will inevitably expand to include new organizations pursuing the same goals.
Austria:
The Initiative for the Abolition of Hunting is a platform of individuals, organizations and groups that no longer support the killing of wildlife in Austria's forests and fields by hunters. Their mission is to unite all forces and interest groups in Austria, and their goal is to ban hunting in our country. It was deliberately founded as an initiative rather than an association and does not want to compete with animal and nature protection organizations, but rather work integratively. The initiative presents itself as a network of associations and individuals who want to advocate for the wildlife persecuted by hunters.

France:
The goal of the Collective for a France Without Hunting (CoRAC) is to abolish all forms of hunting and trapping in France and replace them with a peaceful social model of coexistence with wildlife. This can be achieved through adapted mechanisms that allow the successful conduct of human activities (agriculture, horticulture, forestry, communication, security, health, etc.) alongside the preservation of equally important fauna interests. We specialize in communicating our ideas, arguments, strategies and proposals to the public, media and political decision-makers.

Germany:
The Initiative for the Abolition of Hunting is an alliance of individuals, groups and organizations that no longer want to support the daily madness in German forests. For ethical and ecological reasons, it rejects the continuation of hunting in Europe and pursues the goal of a general hunting ban through rational and effective public relations work as well as political influence. It was deliberately founded as an initiative rather than an association and does not want to compete with animal and nature protection organizations, but rather work integratively. The initiative sees itself as a network of associations and individuals that unites the forces of all those who want to advocate for wildlife in field and forest.

Ireland:
Founded in 1966, the Irish Council Against Blood Sports is a voluntary organization campaigning against hunting wildlife with dogs and other cruel sports that exploit and abuse animals. Our campaigns include banning hare coursing, fox and hare hunting, cruel traps and snares, and ending state funding of greyhound and horse racing.

Italy:
Founded in 1978, the Lega per l’Abolizione della Caccia [League for the Abolition of Hunting] promotes fauna protection as well as environmental conservation and restoration through legal, political, cultural, educational, informational and editorial initiatives. It is recognized by the Ministry of Environment as an environmental association according to Law No. 349 of July 8, 1986. Our constitution is based on the concept of respect for the life, dignity and freedom of all human and non-human animals, and in this spirit we fight against speciesism and all related forms of violence, abuse and exploitation.

Netherlands:
Since 1976, the Dutch Wildlife Protection Foundation has advocated for wildlife interests in the Netherlands. One of its main objectives is banning all forms of hunting. To achieve this, it conducts protests at hunting events, attempts to counter the influence of hunters and their organizations on wildlife management and nature conservation, pursues legal proceedings against granted exemption permits, and conducts field inspections to uncover and report abuses in the context of hunting and wildlife welfare in general. Faunabescherming houses the Wild Boar Society (Zwijnensociëteit), which focuses on protecting wild boar in the country.
Poland:
Since 2016, the Źródła Association has been leading the fight against hunting by monitoring issues in the context of hunting. It helps owners exclude properties from hunting areas, monitors hunters' activities on site, and advocates for people who feel threatened by hunters' activities.
Switzerland:
Wild beim Wild is an independent animal protection organization based in Switzerland. Its focus is promoting and protecting wild animal species and their habitat from the activities of hobby hunters. As a competence center against recreational hunting, the IG is active in various regions of the German-speaking area and is committed to educating the public about the importance of animal and nature conservation as well as sustainable environmental practices. The IG is a hunting-critical organization and has been questioning the vocabulary used in this field worldwide for years.
Spain:

The NAC Platform (No a la Caza) fights against hunting in all its forms. Its immediate goal is to end hunting with greyhounds and other breeds, while its long-term goal is the abolition of hunting in all its aspects. To this end, it has organized a demonstration every February since 2010, which has now gained international significance. The NAC Platform is a non-partisan, non-denominational, anti-speciesist non-profit organization whose fundamental goal is to raise awareness of the individual interests of non-human animals, particularly in the context of hunting, and to promote respect for them as well as to enforce and expand their rights.
