Harry refuses to take part
During the royal family's visit to Balmoral Castle in early September, a grouse hunt was organised as it is every year, with all family members taking part. Even 5-year-old George joined in the royal stalk. Only Prince Harry is said to have refused to participate in the recreational hunt.
«Meghan is a committed animal welfare advocate and is opposed to all forms of recreational hunting,» a palace insider told the Sun. Harry loves hunting, «but if breaking with the old tradition means keeping Meghan happy, then so be it.»
The royal family reportedly reacted with «disbelief» at Harry's decision. But «if Meghan feels uncomfortable when Harry goes shooting, then he won't do it, so as not to upset her,» the insider explains.
