Cow shot on pasture in the Vogelsberg district
According to a media report a hobby hunter shot a cow grazing in a pasture in the Vogelsberg district during the night from Saturday to Sunday on the first weekend of August.
The hobby hunter told the Oberhessische Zeitung that he had been aiming at a raccoon and accidentally hit the cow in the background. Since he had fired without an adequate backstop, the district authority announced that the shooter's hunting licence is now under review.
