Animals at Kyiv Zoo Receive Antidepressants
To protect the animals from air raids and explosions, many four-legged residents have been relocated to underground passages. However, there is not enough space for all animals. Elephants and giraffes, for example, are simply too large for this.
Rocket strikes Zoo
A Russian rocket landed next to an enclosure housing vultures and a raccoon family. Fortunately, neither humans nor animals were injured. The zoo is home to nearly 4’000 animals and 200 species.
Antidepressants for Animals
The animals will be monitored over the coming days and, if necessary, provided with antidepressants in their water. Some have already begun leaving the outdoor enclosures on their own in response to air raid signals. More on the topics of Zoo and Animal Rights.
