Ritual Slaughter: One of the Cruellest Methods of Killing
Slaughter without prior stunning is one of the cruellest methods of killing. Animal welfare organisations are calling for a comprehensive ban on ritual slaughter.
It is not without reason that this method of slaughter is explicitly prohibited under regular animal protection law – and is only possible by «special permit» upon application.
In plain terms, Muslims (and Jews) can, by «special exemption» – contrary to the law that applies to «ordinary people» – butcher animals to death in the most brutal, archaic and anachronistic manner.
In itself incomprehensible – by analogy with this perverse logic, one could also apply for and grant “special permits” for the rape of human beings.
Or what exactly?
For humans and animals alike are capable of suffering – and if the craving for meat or religious fantasies demand the slaughter of animals, at the very least a pain-reducing form of stunning must be applied prior to the killing of those condemned to death.
This deliberate and wilful unstunned ritual slaughter of animals occurs time and again, in contravention of our regular Animal Protection Act.
„“The greatest enemy of the law is privilege” was very aptly noted by Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach.
But in the utterly servile and slavishly «politically correct» trained land of German conformism, no one seems to care.
The pinnacle of ritual slaughter orgies each year is «Kurban Bayrami«, the Islamic Festival of Sacrifice, which this year takes place from 09 to 12 July 2022.
Ultimately this constitutes illegal ritual slaughter, since exemption permits under § 4a para. 2, no. 2 of the Animal Protection Act ought not to be granted.
No religion requires that animals must be unstunned before the slaughter cut! When the religious scriptures were written, electric stunning was unknown, and therefore it cannot be prohibited by them.
This is also confirmed by Islamic authorities and religious scholars. There is therefore no religious justification for the practice.
So-called “mandatory provisions” that the Animal Protection Act requires in order to grant permission for slaughter without stunning, and which are supposed to justify the exemptions, do not exist. Slaughter without stunning is cruel animal abuse and ethically indefensible.
There are also the alternatives of making monetary donations or providing food to those in need.
Our politicians are therefore urged to ensure that no further exemptions are granted for the barbaric practice of slaughtering animals without stunning.
Furthermore, the interior ministers of the federal states are called upon to arrange timely and increased veterinary and police inspections in order to prevent and stop illegal slaughter without stunning.
