Hunting dispute costs two hunting dogs their lives
Tensions had been simmering for years in a Lucerne hunting society.
At the end of 2021, the dispute escalated: a former hobby hunter who had been expelled from the hunting society allegedly killed two hunting dogs in revenge.

Over 20 years ago, the defendant joined a Lucerne hunting society. After just a few years, he was expelled due to hunting-related misconduct. In 2020, the Lucerne Cantonal Court convicted the now 60-year-old of disrupting hunting operations.
Fresh blood traces in the garage
The dogs had left the hunting territory and had run to the defendant's farm. He allegedly switched off the GPS tracking on both collars and fatally injured the dogs. During a house search, fresh blood traces from a dog were found in the garage.
Animal cruelty and obstruction of hunting
