Rammstein – a red flag
Till Lindemann produces pornographically charged noise. Rammstein courted National Socialist aesthetics and the glorification of violence from the very beginning.
Lowest Vibrations
Till Lindemann is a personality who operates on the lowest frequencies, producing pornographically charged noise that the band also translates visually through music videos.
The band Rammstein courted National Socialist aesthetics from the very beginning. Their possible proximity to Nazi ideology and glorification of violence has repeatedly provoked fierce criticism. Rammstein is named after the town of Ramstein, where a 1988 airshow accident claimed 70 lives. Contempt for women was also part of the programme from the outset and was tolerated — as were the rape fantasies that Lindemann indulged not only on stage but also as an author. In addition, a pornographic clip approximately three years old has recently surfaced for the song “Till The End,” in which Till Lindemann commits sexual violence against young women.
Lindemann goes recreational hunting
Till Lindemann also enjoys going recreational hunting. “I believe in eating meat, gutting fish, hunting. In the animal within man,” he says in an interview with Stern. Recreational hunters subsequently welcomed him warmly into their circles. For the video for “Knebel,” Lindemann bit the head off an eel, which points to severe psychological disturbances in the singer.
Over the past decades he has achieved numerous successes as singer and lyricist of the band Rammstein and has a loyal fanbase around the globe. He was not always a musician, however – before his big breakthrough, he tried his hand as an athlete.
Till Lindemann's career in music began in the 1980s, when he was active in various punk bands. In 1994, he co-founded the band Rammstein together with guitarist Richard Kruspe, which attracted attention through its dark and negative music. Lindemann's expressive voice and his provocative lyrics quickly made him a figurehead of the group and propelled Rammstein to become one of the most successful German bands of all time.
However, Lindemann has also repeatedly pursued other projects outside of Rammstein. Together with Swedish multi-instrumentalist Peter Tägtgren, he released the album «Skills in Pills», which also celebrated great international success.
Overall, Till Lindemann is one of the most captivating personalities in the German music scene — a man who impresses not only through his music but also through his strongly developed personality. Lindemann is a person who has no reservations about provoking controversy and encouraging his audience to think.
The Berlin public prosecutor's office has opened an investigation against Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann (60). More on the topic Psychology and Hunting and Crime and Hunting.
