Jagd Schweiz: Unlawful Publication of a Verdict
The media in French-speaking Switzerland, Ticino, and German-speaking Switzerland regularly report on illegal and criminal practices within the hunting community.
Jagd Schweiz is the umbrella organisation of Swiss hobby hunters.
According to its statutes, Jagd Schweiz represents the interests of Swiss hunters at home and abroad.
On the website of the association Jagd Schweiz, the «fake news» specialists and purveyors of lies — and in part also on the website of Jagd Zürich — have wrongfully published an article containing a verdict in the matter of JagdSchweiz/IG Wild beim Wild that was, up to that point, NOT legally valid. In ongoing proceedings, one cannot be legally convicted at all.
Investigations have revealed that the militant aggressors from the association Jagd Schweiz (Tarzisius Caviezel, Thomas Hüssy, Peter Zenklusen, Jean-Claude Givel, Franco Scodeller, Hanspeter Egli, Fabio Regazzi, Enrico Capra, Adrian Zumstein) have once again violated the law. A publication of this nature (including an address and a note that the verdict is not legally valid, etc.) is not permissible under personal rights and media law.
This once again demonstrates how unprofessionally the entire hunting establishment in Switzerland operates, and it is also a reflection of the misery inflicted upon wildlife by hobby hunters in forests and fields.
For example, in addition to the address and other details, the publication states:
«What is unacceptable, however, is attributing criminal offences to our organisation and its members through defamatory statements that are entirely without foundation in truth.»
Jagd Schweiz
This has been freely invented by Jagd Schweiz in their article and appears neither in the provisional verdict nor in the indictment filed by the public prosecutor's office.
In Switzerland, it is still legally permissible to draw the attention of legislators to suspected grievances by means of criminal complaints, and IG Wild beim Wild will continue to proceed in this manner. The filed criminal complaint against the association Jagd Schweiz is also available from IG Wild beim Wild upon request.
Jagd Schweiz wants to silence IG Wild beim Wild entirely through arbitrary complaints and make them disappear from the scene. This is communicated clearly enough in a email to the members of the board of the association Jagd Schweiz.
The court of first instance acquitted IG Wild beim Wild, among other things, of defamation under charge 1.3 on 22 September 2017 in Bellinzona, finding themNOT guilty.
«During the course of 2016, publishing on his Facebook page the flyer “Abolition of Hobby Hunting”, in which it is stated how members of the association Jagd Schweiz are involved year after year in thousands of legal violations.” – Acquittal
This acquittal on the above-mentioned charge 1.3 is, however, not mentioned in the written judgment and written reasoning following the oral hearing.
«Members and hunters of Jagd Schweiz are involved, through the cantonal associations, year after year in thousands of legal violations, such as arms smuggling, poaching, criminal offences, violations of the Hunting Act, etc.» This is a fact and was not negated by the court with the acquittal on charge 1.3 either!
IG Wild beim Wild has initiated the appeals process in order to have the curious judgment reviewed by a higher instance. For in substance, the remaining charges concern the same set of facts.
Most cantons do not keep precise statistics in this regard.
Furthermore, hobby hunters violate Swiss animal welfare laws (e.g. TSchG Art. 4, 26). These offences are, however, excluded by the so-called “hunting ethics” through the Hunting Act and related ordinances.
And when one speaks or writes the truth, one now has lawyers from Jagd Schweiz on one’s back and/or is threatened verbally, in writing, or by telephone by the riffraff from the circles surrounding Jagd Schweiz.
Apparently, these hobby hunters are neither well trained nor do they possess a sound moral integrity.
When it comes to hunting and hobby hunters in particular, it is essential that the public pays very close attention. Nowhere else is so much manipulation carried out through falsehoods and fake news.Violence and lies are two sides of the same coin. For decades, hobby hunting has been nothing other than a permanently costly construction site, patchwork, and point of contention for politics, forestry and agriculture, public administrations, the justice system, health insurers, insurance companies, animal welfare, environmental and nature conservation organizations, the police, federal authorities, the media, and so on.
Any other organization with so much criminal energy would have long since been put in the crosshairs of the federal prosecutor's office!
