PETA is calling for an end to this practice. According to PETA, the “rehabilitation” of prison inmates should not involve the production of equipment used to kill wildlife .

Compassion and empathy are among the most important qualities human beings need. However, manufacturing hunting blinds, “gut hooks” and “game gallows” is not a suitable means of fostering greater empathy.

Recreational hunting is unnecessary

Scientific studies show that recreational hunting is not an effective means of permanently regulating wildlife populations. Prof. Dr. Josef Reichholf also sees no necessity for recreational hunting from a wildlife biology perspective.

The more than 395,000 hobby hunters in Germany are contrasted by only around 1,000 professional hunters, primarily forestry officials. A representative Forsa survey confirms that 49% of the population opposes recreational hunting.
