Five Long-Eared Owls Shot

A father (67) and two of his sons (36, 31) are alleged to have shot five protected long-eared owls in Pram (Austria). A chance witness discovered a shot-up bird of prey nest and the remains of the birds.

Up to Two Years in Prison

The Wels public prosecutor's office has filed charges for the intentional killing of a vertebrate. One of the accused is a sworn hunting warden. The three hobby hunters have not yet confessed. More on the topic of Crime and Hunting, Species Protection and Hunting Law.
