Fox with only two legs
A family in England was astonished when they found a fox with only two legs in their garden.
Phil and Jane Carter from Ilkeston in Derbyshire often receive visits from foxes, but this fox stayed for around 45 minutes.
Mr Carter said: «My wife called out: Quick, grab your phone, we have a two-legged fox on the lawn.»
«We had about five minutes where he ran around the lawn to sniff and pick up some meat, and then he shot off like a rocket.»
Adapting to life on two legs
A spokesperson for the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust said: «We have never seen anything like this in the wild before, but the animal looks relatively healthy and appears to have adapted to life on two legs.»
The fox was most likely born without two of its legs and did not lose them later in life. The remarkable adaptability of wildlife is demonstrated here in an impressive way.
