Over 100 Musicians Promote New Animal Welfare Film
Over 100 musicians are promoting a new animal welfare film. The prominent support is intended to spread the message against animal cruelty.
Protest has always played a major role in the music world, and throughout history artists have used their music and their platforms to call for change and make the world a better place.
A new documentary film has been released, shedding light on the history and connection between music and animal protection.
The film, titled «Taking Note – The Animal Rights Music Documentary» features over 100 interviews with artists from all genres and attempts to answer two central questions: «Would the animal rights movement be where it is today without music?» and «Would the music world still be the same today if the animal rights movement had never existed?
Members of Fall Out Boy, Misfits, No Doubt, Enter Shikari, Arch Enemy, Against Me!, Cro-Mags, Neck Deep, Goldfinger, Creeper, Napalm Death and others have participated, as have representatives from PETA and Sea Shepherd.
This film not only tells a story that has never been documented before, but also gives voice to some of the world’s greatest music stars from various genres and eras, offering a completely new perspective on the music world that has never existed in this form.
From classical composers advocating for animals, to the Beatles mocking trophy hunters, to musicians campaigning to save the whales, the legendary Prince speaking out against the wool industry, Morrissey banning meat at his concerts, and the Animal Liberation Front founding a record label, the creation of a fully vegan music genre, Billie Eilish promoting veganism to her millions of fans, how Moby launched a music festival for animal rights, and even the story of an American Idol contestant who went from the stage to the slaughterhouse — these are just some of the remarkable stories this film will tell.
