A year-long BBC investigation has uncovered a worldwide sadistic monkey torture ring stretching from Indonesia to the United States.
Hundreds of customers paid for torture videos
The BBC uncovered a network in which hundreds of people paid Indonesians for monkey torture videos. The goal: custom-made films in which baby long-tailed macaques were abused and killed on camera. At least 20 individuals are being investigated worldwide.
Social media fails
