A South Korean app scans the nose print of dogs and identifies lost animals with 99 percent accuracy.

Nose print as unique as a fingerprint

A South Korean startup has developed an AI-based app that scans a dog's nose print and feeds it into a database. A dog's nose print is just as unique as a human's fingerprint.

99% accuracy

The team at Yonsei University has refined its AI to an accuracy of 99%. Anyone who finds a lost animal can take a photo and see whether it matches an image in the app. The app also works for cats using their entire face. More on the topic of animal welfare.
