Almost 3’000 volunteers in action

Many people want to roll up their sleeves and actively do something for the forest of the future. The Mountain Forest Project involves hands-on work to support the forest in adapting to climate change .

Almost 3’000 volunteers were active in the mountain forests and cultural landscapes of Switzerland in 2022, contributing 115’000 hours of work. We all depend on intact protective forests that shield us from avalanches, rockfalls, and flooding.

Mountain Forest Project seeks volunteers

During a one-week work placement in the mountain forest, women and men aged 18 to 88 contribute to the care and preservation of a protective forest under expert guidance. For more information, visit bergwaldprojekt.ch. More on the topic of environment and nature conservation.
