Spain: Protest against exclusion of hunting dogs
Thousands protest in Madrid against an animal welfare law that excludes hunting dogs. The parliamentary vote is imminent.

Thousands of people marched through the centre of Madrid on Sunday to protest against a planned animal welfare law that excludes hunting dogs.
The protest takes place four days before the parliamentary vote on the new animal welfare law. Demonstrators held signs reading «Killing is not a sport» and chanted «Stop hobby hunting».
5 billion euro hunting industry
In Spain, dogs are used to track animals such as deer, wild boar and rabbits. The hunting industry generates more than 5 billion euros annually.
