Online protests

According to the Animal Welfare Act (Art. 26 TSchG) there must be a "reasonable cause" for killing an animal – however, hunting foxes and badgers is usually merely the satisfaction of a bloody hobby.

For these wild animals there is no legal shooting plan. The animals serve hobby hunters as living targets, since there is neither a wildlife biological nor health reason for the mass hunting of healthy predators. With online protests we want to change this peacefully.

Accordingly, every fox hunt is a clear violation of the Animal Welfare Act because it lacks reasonable cause. For more than 30 years there have been at least 18 wildlife biological studies that prove: fox hunting does not regulate and is also useless for disease control. On the contrary!

Virtually throughout the year, foxes are pursued through driven hunts, pass hunts, earth hunting, etc. We therefore call upon Swiss politicians with this campaign to ban as quickly as possible the completely senseless killing of these wonderful creatures, which serves only to satisfy the pleasure of hobby hunters. Luxembourg or the Canton of Geneva has shown that there are no sound arguments for this slaughter and that a government that values nature and animal welfare must under no circumstances submit to the demands of any militant hunting lobbyists!

Wild animals also have feelings and emotions. They can suffer, grieve and experience joy. Like us humans, they live in family groups and social structures, which hobby hunters usually terrorize and violate for entertainment.

Join the online protests of IG Wild beim Wild. No power to animal cruelty.
