How hobby hunters torment their hunting dogs
Keeping hunting dogs on a chain or in a kennel year-round does not meet the needs of hunting dogs and must be rejected.
A bleak life in the kennel
When shots are fired, hunting dogs bark and hunting horns are sounded, the entire surrounding wildlife is stressed. Hobby hunting is always a form of war!
Dogs used for hobby hunting not infrequently spend the entire year living a bleak existence in an unlawful kennel, only able to run free during hunting season.

Animal Protection Act applies to hobby hunters too
The Animal Protection Ordinance of Switzerland sets out minimum conditions for keeping animals and handling them with care. Dogs must be taken outside daily and walked in accordance with their needs. Transport crates may not be used for permanent housing.
Supposed love of animals
As soon as reliability wanes, the supposed affection of many hobby hunters turns to hatred. Kicks, blows — and for many, ultimately a bullet for the dog. More on the topic of animal welfare issues in hobby hunting and crime and hunting.
