A young lynx has been released into the wild in Giswil (OW). It had been raised for five months at Tierpark Goldau and is now able to hunt prey on its own.

A young lynx that had been raised for five months at Tierpark Goldau has been released into the wild in Giswil in the canton of Obwalden. The lynx had been captured as an orphan last November.
Tracking collar for monitoring
The young lynx is wearing a tracking collar so that its movements can be followed, the Obwalden Office for Forests and Landscape announced. The young wild cat had spent several days near a farm and had killed chickens. More on the topic Wildlife, Species conservation and Switzerland.
