Five cases of poaching

Two cases of illegally shot wolves were already known in Graubünden. Now research by SRF News reveals that three further animals were illegally shot since then. Nature photographer Peter Dettling suspects “massive poaching in the Surselva”.

Alongside poachers, saboteurs are also at work: a dead sheep was laid out to lure wolves. The aim: media coverage, increased political pressure and legal wolf culls. Dettling calls for more thorough investigations and the publication of poaching attempts. More on the topic of crime and hunting, wolf protection and Switzerland.
