Three horses dead at Aintree

Following the deaths of three horses, criticism of the Aintree steeplechase is once again growing louder. Since the year 2000, 62 horses have died during the races. More than 100 activists were arrested during protests.

Discussion reaches a sacred institution

Horse racing is considered the most popular spectator sport in the United Kingdom after football. The animal welfare organisation Animal Rising announced further protests: “Today marks not the end, but the beginning of the Summer of Animal Rising.” More on the topic of Animal rights and Animal welfare issues.
